Geometry, Textures, and Workflow - Optimizing glTF

glTF Complex Scenes & Interactivity

Description: Khronos is expanding and extending glTF to support complex scenes and interactivity. This session will start with an attendee discussion of the diverse use cases for these capabilities before diving into the intricacies of the interactivity and complex scenes. Gerald Guyomard from Adobe will discuss the various challenges and innovative solutions involved in defining interactivity in a file format. Leonard Daly will discuss the capabilities that are being developed to support complex scenes for geospatial, commerce, mobile, and other application areas;  empowering the creation of complex scenes & Dan Frith will explore use cases, sharing how the 3D Formats (glTF) and 3D Commerce Working Groups are exploring the importance of complex scenes in e-commerce and other industries using glTF. Don't miss this opportunity to stay at the forefront of glTF advancements.

Exploring the Artistic Frontier: Unleashing Creativity in 3D Models with glTF and PBR

Description: The artistic creation of realistic materials in real-time 3D models in glTF using physically-based rendering (PBR) is discussed and demonstrated. Attendees will gain valuable insights into the best practices, workflows, and optimizations required to simulate iridescent, anisotropy, and other effects and to achieve stunning visual realism for 3D assets. We will discuss the techniques used and available tools to achieve these effects.

Standardizing Body Attachment Points for 3D Commerce Virtual Try On

Description: In today's rapidly evolving digital landscape, virtual try-on (VTO) has emerged as a new frontier for the retail industry. Creating digital clones of your products in AR offers customers an immersive and interactive way to evaluate your products. Labs Hands-On Class: Use NVIDIA Nsight Tools to Debug and Profile Vulkan Ray Tracing Applications

Description: In this hands-on class, you'll learn how to use NVIDIA Nsight Graphics and Nsight Systems to profile and optimize 3D applications that use Vulkan ray tracing. You’ll explore an example application to learn how to:

  • Identify GPU bottlenecks that degrade performance by inspecting low-level metrics
  • Analyze profiler data and understand what actions you should take

Capture & Replay with Vulkan & DX12: GFXReconstruct

This session will highlight GFXReconstruct 1.0, an open-source capture and replay tool for Vulkan and DX12 developed by LunarG and several Khronos partners.  We'll introduce GFXReconstruct, explain how to use it, and provide multiple demos.  Advanced topics will include: 1) running validation with replay, 2) inspecting captured calls in human-readable form, 3) capturing Vulkan on Android, 4) capturing DX12, 5) replaying Vulkan captures on other platforms (and discussing limitations), and 6) reviewing more options and how to use them.  Join us to learn more!

Star Trek Through the Ages: ”The Roddenberry Archive”- Achieving Interoperability in the Metaverse
